Perfect Number

A perfect number is a number (an integer) for which the sum of its proper factors (divisors) is equal to the number itself.

 

Example:

 

6 is a perfect number because the proper divisors of 6 are 1, 2, and 3 which add up to 6.

Compare with abundant number, deficient number.
