Greatest Common Factor (GCF)

The Greatest Common Factor (GCF) is the largest positive integer that is a factor of two or more numbers.

It is also called the Greatest Common Divisor or GCD.

 

Example :

The GCF of 14 and 21 is 7.

14= 2 x 7

21= 3 x 7

In this example, 7 is the Greatest Common Factor.
